Giannis Lagos detained in Brussels – He did not accept his extradition to Greece

In custody in Brussels is the Giannis Lagos, as he did not accept their surrender to the Greek authorities, after his interrogation in the Dutch-speaking court in Brussels today, April 28.

The Brussels prosecutor’s office issued a statement regarding the arrest of Ioannis Lagos, stating that “on April 27, 2021, Ioannis Lagos was arrested in Brussels following a European arrest warrant issued during the execution of the Athens 2020 Court of Appeal in October 2020.” as broadcast by APE-MPE.

The Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office emphasizes that within 15 days there will be a decision on “the execution of the European arrest warrant” clarifying that “the date of the hearing is not yet known and will be announced later”.
