The S251-3O0 server, powered by a 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable or Intel Xeon W-3200 processor, has 24 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drive bays. In addition, the configuration can include two 2.5-inch SATA drives and one M.2 SSD.
Processors with up to 28 cores and TDP up to 205W are supported. There are eight DIMM slots for memory. Supports DDR4 memory (up to DDR4-2933) and Intel Optane PMem.
There are two 1 GbE ports for network connection. Expansion options are provided by seven slots for low-profile expansion cards. The case contains two 1300W 80 Plus Platinum PSUs.
The server is designed for software-defined storage, virtualization, big data systems, and multimedia content storage.
