A concert from Piazza del Plebiscito which, more than a simple performance, looks like a big party, a unique opportunity to celebrate the thirty years of career of an artist who has never forgotten his origins and who, in the company of many guests, will embrace his Naples with emotion and lots of music: Gigi D’Alessio. In fact, on Friday 17 June, in prime time on Rai1 and at the same time on Radio2, the show will be staged One like you – Thirty years together, a special sold out date in which Gigi will propose a variety in which he will weave his story and his music in dialogue and duet with friends who have always been close to him and who, when asked to come to Naples to celebrate with him, said yes right away. Among them, Amadeus, Fiorello, Alessandra Amoroso, Fiorella Mannoia, Vanessa IncontradaEros Ramazzotti, Achille Lauro, Vincenzo Salemme, Mara VenierAlessandro Siani, Clementino, Andrea Delogu, Stefano De Martino and their son LDA, exploded thanks to his participation in Friends: all together to gather around a talent, that of Gigi D’Alessio, who from year to year has shone more and more with his own light, continuing to look with a benevolent eye on the city that gave him birth.
“I wanted to make an important show for my city, for the first people who believed in me and who defended me in all sorts of ways, especially against the prejudices that often appear in this environment. We are men of the South, born not to have, but I am one who does not give up. I am one exists and has resisted for 30 years “, said Gigi D’Alessio during the press conference to present the event which, in addition to the performance in the square, will also include the performance of a song inside the San Carlo Theater. The most exceptional thing, however, was noticing the amazement in his eyes when he told about the friends he chose to contact to take part in the evening and who immediately said yes: from Fiorello to Mara Venier. «We will pay homage to the great Neapolitans. To Mario Merola, since my artistic path began with him; to Maradona, with whom we made a video clip together; to Totò; to a Neapolitan not born in Naples who is Lucio Dalla; and also to the great Pino Daniele », said D’Alessio, who will be accompanied on stage by an exceptional orchestra directed by Maestro Adriano Pennino.
Beyond the live broadcast on Rai1 – during which an extraordinary fundraiser will be promoted with the solidarity issue 45592, launched by the Santobono-Pausilipon Foundation of Naples to welcome and treat children suffering from serious pathologies from Ukraine – the most interesting novelty concerns the enjoyment of the evening. The deputy director of Rai1 Claudio Fasulo has, in fact, explained that Gigi D’Alessio will continue to perform even during the commercial breaks, and that those clips will be broadcast live on RaiPlay: “This is the first time we have done it,” Fasulo underlined. “From life I got more than what I gave”, explained Gigi D’Alessio at one point during the conference, confident that he understood that his life was changing when he saw the touts selling tickets outside his very first concert, what he proposed with an album of only 8 songs. “There I realized that something was happening: I never stopped from there.” At the evening, produced by GGD, Friends & Partners and Arcobaleno Tre and embellished, in fact, by the presence of many guests who, D’Alessio emphasizes, will come without promoting anything, another evening will follow on Saturday 18 June, always from the stage in Piazza del Plebiscito, to continue celebrating with the public who have always loved and supported him over the years.
