Gilberto Gil 82, celebrated the satisfaction of having participated in the special year-end show by Roberto Carlos which celebrated the King’s 50th birthday on TV Globo.
“Roberto Carlos is a contemporary, responsible for a golden phase of the music of the Brazilian people . It is a great pleasure to be with him again, not only for the artistic dimension, but especially for the personal dimension”, Gil highlights, in a statement given to the press.
He continued: “Being next to Roberto is always a moment of calm, tranquility, reflection and deep affection.” According to what was announced by the broadcaster, Gilberto Gil will sing “A Paz” and “vamos Fugir” in the special.
Roberto Carlos’ special end-of-year show celebrates the King’s 50th birthday on TV Globo in 2024 and will bring great voices as special guests: the duo Chitãozinho & Xororó, Zeca Pagodinho, Gilberto Gil and Wanderléia are already confirmed for the presentation.
The show will air this Friday (20), starting at 10:40 pm, according to the broadcaster’s website.
