The singer Preta Gil turns 50 this Thursday (8) and has already received special tributes on social media. During the morning, his father, the singer Gilberto Gil 82, rescued some photos with the birthday girl and congratulated her.
“Since she was little, Preta has had this talent that is common to all of us. A capacity and a taste for variety in entertainment. She is very much like that, histrionic. Congratulations, daughter,” wrote Gilberto Gil.
He then highlighted the launch of the singer’s autobiography. “And today there is a special launch: the autobiography ‘The First 50’ arrives to tell her entire professional and life journey.”
Preta Gil also received a declaration of affection from her stepmother, Flora Gil, to whom the artist has been married since 1988. “We got married when we met, lol. But we celebrated on my 40th birthday! Preta is generosity in human form. She has a heart full of love and leaves her mark wherever she goes. We are alike in many ways and, since always, she has made and makes me happy”, he began.
“I can’t even express it all, because today is all about the most beloved, beautiful and loved Leo on this planet! She faced difficulties and today she will celebrate in the way she likes (just a cake) with friends in life. I love you so much and I want you to always count on your ‘mamis’. Thank you for so much affection and protection with your nephews, my grandchildren. I love you always”, concluded the producer.
Preta Gil is the fruit of Gilberto Gil’s marriage to businesswoman Sandra Barreira Gadelha, from whom he divorced in 1981.
