Gina Schumacher, Michael’s daughter, got married: everything we know about her (top secret) wedding with Iain Bethke

Michael Schumacher’s daughter Gina Maria got married. The twenty-seven year old he said “yes” to her twenty-eight-year-old boyfriend Iain Bethketo whom she has been linked for seven years, with one highly armored ceremony which was held on Saturday 28 September on the hills of Port d’Andratx a Palma de Mallorca, in a luxurious luxury villa purchased in 2017 by mom Corinne. It was the first party in the Schumacher household since, ten years ago, Michael, a former multiple Formula 1 world champion, stayed victim of a skiing accident from which he never recovered.

It was Gina who gave us the only, very romantic, photo of the wedding: a shot in which she hugs Iain accompanied by the writing “Forever yes to you, yes to forever”.

It is not known when Gina Schumacher and Iain Bethke decided to become husband and wife. What is certain is that the two, who have having made their love official seven years ago, they met in a riding school thanks to their shared passion for horses. The girl, a professional horsewoman, is the winner of several competitions. Iain Bethke, a German father and an English mother, competed in show jumping and is often next to Gina during her competitions. In addition to competing, the two breed horses and spend most of the year in Switzerland, where most of their respective activities are concentrated.

It is not known whether the bride’s father, Michael Schumacher, was present at the wedding. After all, no one, apart from the people closest to him, know his real health conditions. The former pilot, according to rumors, would not speak or walk, although he was breathing independently. Therefore the choice of a ceremony at home could have been made by the spouses precisely to have him close by. On the other hand, there has always been a special bond between father and daughter: «On my scale of happiness, a win is worth three points and a day with Gina is worth 20», Michael had said when his daughter was a child. Adding: «This little creature has made me a different person. More confident, more mature, more calm. Ever since I had my daughter, I’ve known that there are more important things in life than racing». We don’t know whether Michael was able to admire his little girl as she walked up the aisle. But certainly Gina, on her most beautiful day, will have given more than one thought to her beloved father.
