An event that unites glamor and solidarity since Giorgio Armani supports UNICEF with a contribution intended to support the Global Humanitarian Thematic Funda fund that guarantees quick and effective responses in case of conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics, with particular attention to the help and protection of children’s rights.

Armani/Archive, which collects thousands of documented original looks from the Giorgio Armani Woman and Man collections – and who will have a physical location near Milan – will be available starting tomorrow, Saturday 30 August on the site Archive.armanani.com. All employees of the Armani group will have full access to the platform, while the public will be able to explore a first selection of 57 looks.

It is a unique project of its kind, a space for cultural enhancement, a conceptual dictionary that tells Fifty years of creativity, consistency and evolution. With a view to circularity, in the dialogue between past and present, the project also provides for the selection and enhancement of iconic garments of historical collections: Some looks, carefully kept and chosen for their timeless topicality, are re -proposed to the public so that they can continue to tell their history and meet new generations of enthusiasts.

After Venice, through a series of dedicated deliveries, the looks will be available in seven boutiques in the world, starting from those of Milan, Paris, London. After Europe, it will be the turn of the United States, in the Los Angeles boutiques, on the occasion of the Academy Museum Gala on 18 October, and New York, and then in Asia, in Beijing and Tokyo.

The celebrations for the half century of history and creativity of the Maison do not end there. From 16 to 29 September, to remember the beginnings of Giorgio Armani’s career, the windows of the Rinascente of Milan, the place where the stylist took his first steps in fashion, Armani/Archive will be set up.
