Giovanna Lara, former director of Bandamax, is found dead

Giovanna Lara, former director of the Bandamax channel, was found dead inside her apartment in Mexico City. Her death was announced through social networks by colleagues, friends and the entertainment network Televisa.

According to columnist Gil Barrera, the businesswoman would have died from a bronchial aspiration. Said information has not been corroborated by the corresponding authorities, who have opened a line of investigation for alleged femicide.

Celebrities like Mónica Noguera, Patty Álvarez and Vielka Valenzuela dedicated farewell messages and prompt resignation to the Lara family.

On the other hand, the journalist Carlos Jiménez mentioned that agents of the Secretariat of Citizen Security and members of the specialized Prosecutor’s Office went to Giovanna’s apartment to carry out an investigation for alleged femicide, this being one of the most worrying lines of investigation.

So far, neither the authorities nor the family of the former director of Bandamax have confirmed the exact cause of death.

Giovanna dedicated a large part of her career to directing Bandamax, a channel designed to share information and music for banda, mariachi and regional Mexican music.
