Giro d’Europa in 14 fashion designer

No longer Milan, Paris, London and New York, or at least not only. There fashion is relocating. And, although most of the most promising designers have studied in one of the fashion capitals and gained experience at the most prestigious Maisons, once they completed their training they decided to return to their country of origin and found their own brand there, often born from a mixture, innovative and surprising, of tradition and contemporaneity, local folklore and cosmopolitan vision.

The names to look out for are numerous. We have selected them 14, based in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Antwerp, Paris… but also Budapest, Warsaw, and then Lisbon, Cordoba, Athens. All exponents of a new wave of European fashion which makes uniqueness (and sustainability) an essential element, which bases its aesthetics on reworking of traditional stylistic codes, and which is closely linked – it should be said – with the manufacturing history of its place of origin.

Collections upcycled (which recover and rework waste materials and vintage pieces), made-to-order garments, gender fluid or on the contrary, hyper-feminine, a manifestation of inclusiveness and body-positivity, clothing and accessories that are born and come produced in Europe by enhancing local craftsmanship – indeed, even more, by promoting and safeguarding it for future generations – creations that have already conquered fashion insiders and celebs most attentive to novelties.
