Giselle Pelico was honored with France’s top distinction: a knight of the Legion of Honor

With France’s top distinction, Giselle Pelico was honored on Sunday (13/7), the woman who stood up to her when she learned that her decades -long husband was falling for her to rape her and dozens of more men for almost a decade. The 72 -year -old who became a symbol of many victims of sexual abuse was a knight of the Legion of Honor in a list of honored persons announced ahead of the Bastille Day in France. They were among 589 other celebrities who received the France’s upper prize, according to the BBC.
