Peliko refused the anonymity offered to her by the French judiciary and demanded “that everything be made public so that the shame changes sides”. The court began on Monday with the victim’s husband of 50 years, Dominik Peliko, as the main defendant, while 50 of the 72 rapists are sitting in the dock, as the rest were not identified from the “sick” file found by the police.
