At the end of last month, Xiaomi announced its first foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold, which is currently only available in China. According to the latest information, the novelty is preparing for a global release.
The Chinese version of the Xiaomi Mix Fold has the model number M2011J18C, where the letter C at the end indicates China. The global version of Xiaomi Mix Fold with model number M2011J18G was spotted in the Indian IMEI database this week.
In China, users are offered versions with 12/256 or 12/512 GB of memory for $ 1530 and $ 1680, respectively. You can also buy a ceramic version with 16/512 GB of memory for $ 2,000. There is no information yet on how much the smartphone will cost outside of China.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold has a large 8.01-inch foldable screen as well as a 6.52-inch AMOLED screen on the outside. The manufacturer claims that the hinge section has been tested for 200,000 folding and unfolding cycles, with a total of 1 million cycles for the hinge. The main camera uses image sensors with a resolution of 108, 13 and 8 megapixels.
It is the first smartphone with a liquid lens that allows a single 8MP camera to be used for both optical zoom and macro photography. Mi Mix Fold received two rechargeable batteries with a total capacity of 5020 mAh and supports 67W charging.
