Globalist: Cyprus is the zero patient of conflicts in the Middle East

Neither statements are demonstrable. But above all, now the conflict in the Middle East is infecting the rest of the world as a virus, including Europe.

Look at Cyprus: has just 1.4 million inhabitants, but is a Member State of the European Union Like the others, protected, among other things, from an EU defense clause (even if it is not a member of NATO).

There is controversy in Cyprus Because for some time the Israelis have been making many real estate investments. The spokesman for the left party Akel, Stefanos Stefano, denounced 6,500 operations that would represent a threat to national security. These days, while the Gaza massacre is underway, nobody wants to become the next – potential – Israeli colony.

Many Israelis began to spend more and more time in Cyprus after the Hamas attack of 7 October 2023, when for security reasons it was impossible to find direct flights to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. For twenty years the island – divided between the Greek part and the Turkish part by a border that freezes the conflict – has been in Israeli orbit for agreements on the explorations of gas at sea, but remains a border town, which in its past supported the Palestinian cause.
Iran, during the Israeli bombings, used Cyprus as an intermediary to conduct Reserved negotiations with Benjamin Netanyahu government.

We must always look at what happens in Cyprusthe first point where the tensions are manifested which then overwhelm the continent: in the last decade the country was infected by the shoulder strap of Greece, which then blew the Cypriot banks used by Russian oligarchs to let their capital enter Europe.

Precisely in response to the financial crisis, Cyprus had started to sell European passports to investors on the island: In seven years he has collected 7 billion euros, many for a country with a GDP of 34 billion. To pay were mainly Russian and Chinese, Chernsi guaranteed easy access
to business and European protections. Then, among the controversies, in 2020 Cyprus had to review the program.

The European Union can continue to pretend not to be involved in the Middle East, as if it were an Israeli American question. But Cyprus is from Israel 428 kilometers, just less than Rome from Milan: useless to pretend that they are different worlds.

That island is the patient Zero, who confirms that the Israel war in the region involves everyone. At the top of the AIA it was decided to increase the goal of military spending in relation to GDP provided for by NATO adhesion, from 2 to 5 percent. Many European countries have accepted, thinking about the threat of Vladimir Putin.
