Back in February, Google released a new design for its email service, but then its deployment was not massive. Now, developers are activating the new default experience for all users, including regular account holders (not just Workspace subscribers). It is reported by The Verge.
The new Gmail interface is made according to all the canons of the Material You design style from Android 12/13 – this applies to both the shape of objects with roundings and colors. A separate panel is now displayed on the left, which contains the buttons for the Chat, Space and Meet services. This menu can be customized – if necessary, you can disable all unnecessary buttons.
Usually Google has time to activate the new design of its services for all users within 15 days, but this time the interface update will take longer – several weeks. The updated appearance will appear automatically, but if you wish, you can return to the previous one through the quick settings menu. Apparently, the developers assume that not everyone will like the fresh look.
