The Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia has published recommendations for taxpayers on sending emails to government agencies.

According to these recommendations, letters should only be sent using mail servers in Russian domains such as .ru and .su, as well as countries that do not fall under the restrictions.
In order for the letter to reach the recipient, it is recommended to check your email address before sending: receiving emails from sending domains whose countries of origin are the United States and European Union countries is now blocked.
The press service gives the following explanation:
This was done in accordance with the recommendations of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control of Russia to protect the email service of the Federal Tax Service from external negative influences (computer attacks, malware, and so on).”
As noted by the Federal Tax Service, such restrictions will also apply in other state bodies. Apparently, you can safely use Mail.ru and Yandex.Mail, but letters sent using Gmail are likely to be blocked.
