THE Meta announced the launch of three new models of their artificial intelligence systems (IA), Llama 4 Scout, Llama 4 Maverick and Llama 4 Behemoth.
The news is three LLM (large -scale language model) platforms – Models that can cross various sources of information (text, images, books, articles, websites, forums) to understand and generate human language.
With open source, tools are available to anyone who wants to study, modify or use software freely – which facilitates AI advancement and creation of new personalized applications.
The new tools have been available since Saturday (6) in WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram Direct apps and the meta.ai.
Llama 4 Scout and Llama 4 Maverick use a technique called Mixture of Experts (Moe), which uses only the parts of the system that are segmented for that type of subject to solve a specific problem.
As a result, the platform becomes more efficient and faster, especially on processing limitations.
In addition, the goal announced that another project is being trained and developed, Llama 4 Behemoth.
It was created to be a “teacher model”, that is, a highly advanced system that helps to train other smaller models, teaching them to think better and solve complex problems, especially in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
According to scientific tests, the system already exceeds consecrated models such as GPT-4.5 and Claude 3.
