The airline Gol announced this Thursday (28) a net loss of R$ 2.85 billion in the second quarter, against a profit of R$ 658 million in the same period of the previous year.
Net operating revenue jumped 215.3% to R$3.24 billion, exceeding market expectations of R$3.11 billion, according to analysts consulted by Refinitiv.
At the same time, Gol announced new projections for the year 2022, including raising the estimated total net revenue for the period to R$15.4 billion, from R$13.7 billion previously.
The cost forecast as a ratio of passenger to kilometer traveled (Cask), excluding fuel, went from 3.3 cents to 3.5 cents. The leverage projection was maintained at 8 times.
The airline now expects an average load factor of 80% for the year, against a previous expectation of 82%.
