The Golden Globe announced on Wednesday (7) that the 83rd edition of the award will feature the debut of a new category: Best Podcast. The 2026 ceremony will take place on January 11 and will feature Nikki Glaser presentation.
In a publication made on its social networks, the award explained that the new category will award “podcasts that will promote a significant impact last year, celebrating the creativity and influence of content creator from around the world.”
Nikki Glaser was confirmed again as a 2026 Golden Globe host. The comedian, who made her debut as a Golden Globe host in January with positive criticism, expressed her enthusiasm to return to the event.
“Presenting the Golden Globe this year was undoubtedly the most fun experience I have ever had in my career,” she said. “I can barely wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team of ‘The White Lotus’, which will finally recognize my talent and climb me to the fourth season as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a dark past.”
