Goodbye Bairou, welcome rebellion! How France’s volatility could enhance the far -right

Last Monday night, “Bye-Bye Bayrou” party was organized throughout France, as François Bairou, the country’s most prime minister, was dismissed after a sweeping parliamentary vote of distrust against his plans for austerity. Bairou, a third French prime minister who resigned within a year, had withstood nine months. His predecessor, Michel Barnier, had been removed after only three. Just 24 hours after the collapse of the government, the door of the “rotating concierge” opened again and Emmanuel Macron appointed successor: 39 -year -old defense minister and one of his closest allies, Sebastian Lekorni.
