Menlo Park announced it after a long trial period: on Instagram, in fact, for several months it was not possible to see the number of likes.
Now the range of action expands, since it will also be possible to choose on the other social network owned by Mark Zuckerberg: Facebook, in fact.
“We have tested the possibility of hiding the number of likes to understand if this could help reduce the pressure that some people feel when posting on Instagram », is written in the post announcing the news. “What emerged, comparing ourselves with people and experts is that, if for some not seeing the number of likes was positive, others did not like it, also because these parameters are used by people to get an idea of ​​the trendiest and most successful content. For Facebook we will have to wait a few weeks, and in the meantime it is not certain that no other news will arrive.
