Three days after the release of the first anthology album proof and just one day after celebrating their ninth anniversary in the music industry, BTS announced a temporary break as a group, as they will begin to focus on their solo careers.

Namjoon, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook took the opportunity to tell their fans that they will take a break as BTS to explore their professional facets individually and find their own identity.
We have always thought of them [sus ‘fans’] and it is now when we think about which artists we each want to be for the ‘fans’ and that is why we are going through a difficult time. We are trying to find our identity. That is why we are exhausted and need more time.

I don’t expect your full understanding, but I hope you understand. We will spend some time on our own enjoying and experiencing new things to return in front of you with a more mature face. That’s why I hope you support us.
– Jungkook

The one who moved the most when speaking was RM, leader of the group, since he even apologized to the fandom for taking a break.
I always thought that BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with ‘k-pop’ and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature. You have to keep producing music and keep doing something.
On the other hand, J-Hope will be the first to premiere his solo project by headlining the Lollapalooza Chicago 2022 festival next Sunday, July 31.
As expected, ARMY, fandom of the group, it did not take long for the news to go viral through Twitter, a social network that they have also used to send their best wishes and thanks to the group that forever changed the history of k pop.
Here’s to your successes together or alone!
ARMY will never stop loving each of you
RM’s words were exact and loving
ARMY will never disappear!
Thank you for being part of our life
See you soon, Bangtan!
