Goodbye to indoor masks: what happens abroad

Maybe among the last, but not all that different from the others, especially from our European neighbors. Italy is preparing to say goodbye to masks closed at the beginning of May, when we will also say goodbye to Green Pass definitely. The final decision is expected by the government next week, but the main lines are clear: the masks should remain on public transport, perhaps in cinemas and theaters, almost certainly in sports halls and public offices.

What path have the other European countries taken?

France and Spain they have already removed the requirement for outdoor masks. Paris already from mid-March, Madrid only from 20 April. However, they are mandatory on public transport everywhere, as it should also be in Italy, and to enter health facilities, where a tougher measure could remain with us: the obligation of a Green Pass. Already certain that the masks will remain in the classroom until the end of the school year.

In Spain, individual companies decide whether their employees should wear them on site Work. Shops can give directions to customers, as far as employees are concerned, they all have masks.

In Germany there are few national measures such as the requirement to still wear face masks on trains and planes. For the rest, the landers decide. The majority of these have decided to keep them on public means of transport and in all buildings dedicated to healthcare and the elderly. Long-distance and on airplanes. Companiescompanies and institutions, in general all private individuals, can decide independently for their employees.

Britain has never had specific obligations for indoor venues, but keeps the masks there Greece.

He uses?

Decisions vary from state to state, apart from the federal one regarding transportation currently under discussion. The US Department of Justice has filed an appeal against the judgment of a federal judge who canceled the obligation to wear a mask in transport such as air trains. The US federal health agency has assessed that face masks are still needed to protect public health.
