A new hair look with a nostalgia effect
Her new hairlook, however, as we said, is a bit of a déjà vu so much so that the Californian singer underlined the nostalgia effect of her latest hair experimentation with a very eloquent caption on Instagram, namely “Do you remember me?”.
In the photo, the pop star shows her black licorice hair lit by cherry red roots. The last one hairstyling by Billie Eilish thus pays tribute to the neon green roots that characterized her look until the end of 2020 and (also) for which she became famous. In addition to her signature hairstyle, much loved by Gen Z: gspace them bun.
However, the American singer is not referring only to the previous hairstyle but also to one of her old selfies. In 2019, she posted a similar photo with the caption “What do you want from me.” The only difference between the two shots is that in the 2023 post, Billie showed off a full and long fringe and the space buns are more messy. The extra detail? In each photo the sunglasses are matched to the shade of the roots as is the rest of the outfit. Class is not water, it must be said.

When she stayed a little longer with the same shade she responded to followers asking for a makeovers: “This color is called ‘don’t be depressed anymore, please be happy for me’. This is the longest time I’ve had the same hair tone since I was 13 and this is due to mental stability and my growth.”
