Google adds new AI resources to Gmail, Meet and Docs; Check

THE Google announced during its annual I/O conference in Mountain View, California, a series of improvements and news related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) . The announcements, made on Tuesday (20), are the incorporation of technology in the workspace, an area that covers tools such as Gmail, Meet and Docs.

Updates allow users to respond faster, connect in other languages ​​and write from relevant sources.

Gemini in gmail

One of the ads made by Google is the incorporation of Gemini, the company AI tool, for smart and personalized answers in Gmail.

According to the company, Gemini will be able to extract information from previous emails and Google Drive to provide suggestions for response with more relevant and objective specific details. In addition, AI will also adapt to its typical (formal or colloquial, for example) tone so that the answers sound more authentic.

Another feature of Gemini in Gmail is to take tasks such as deleting and archiving emails. To do this, just tell GEMINI what you want to do: for example, “erase all my unad-read emails from The Groomed Paw.”

In addition, the company has announced the rapid scheduling of Gmail integrated appointments, where Gemini detects when the user is trying to set up a meeting and displays a useful reminder, facilitating the schedule page sharing directly on Gmail, significantly reducing time and effort spent on agenda coordination.

According to Google, news will be available to all users next quarter.

Speech Translation on Google Meet

At the conference, Google also announced speech translation on Google Meet, which will be released at first for consumers.

The new feature translates speech to the listener’s language, almost in real time, with low latency and preserving the user’s voice, tone and expression. According to the company, the translation of speech on Google Meet will begin to be made available to signators from Beta Pro and Ultra Google AI, initially in English and Spanish, with more languages ​​available in the coming weeks.

Imagen 4 in the workspace

Google has announced Imagen 4, one of the company’s new models that generate videos and images. With it, it will be possible to create richer and more detailed visuals easily, with spelling and rendering of more accurate texts.

Imagen 4 promises to create images in various proportions and with a resolution of up to 2K, even better for printing or presentations and offers incomparable sharpness in fine details, such as tissues, water drops and animal hair, and stands out in both photoreal and abstract styles.

The tool is available on the Gemini, Whisk, Vertex AI app and the apps presentations, videos, documents and more in the workspace since Tuesday (20).

Help with source -based writing on Google Docs

Google has also introduced the “Source -Based Writing Help” feature on Google Docs. With it, the user may link any relevant presentations, data and reports directly on a document. Gemini will extract only from these sources by providing writing assistance, keeping the suggestions focused and based on reliable content.

According to the company, the feature will be available to all users next semester.
