In 2019, Google first introduced the unified smart home standard Matter, and at the Google I / O 2022 conference announced its imminent launch. Once set up, Android will make it easy to connect Matter devices to other ecosystems.
As for Matter support on iOS, Google promises to add it in 2023. Next year, the company will also launch expanded support for even more Nest devices.
