Google is preparing a major update for its digital assistant Google Assistant. Enthusiasts were able to discover a new service called Memory, which brings fundamentally new functionality.

The topic resource 9to5Google shared a find in the code of the fresh version of Google Assistant, and one of its authors commented on the event as follows:
It’s Pinterest, Google Keep, and more in the Google Assistant shell. Honestly, this is one of the coolest features I’ve seen from Google in a long time. I can wait for him to try! ”
Google describes Memory as “a simple, fast way to store and find anything in one place.” The following functions are supported:
- Preservation of any content on the screen, including links to the original source
- Saving real objects – objects, posters, handwritten notes
- Saving ideas and reminders
- Smart search and organization
Memory can store all sorts of things – articles, books, contacts, events, plane tickets, hotel reservations, photos, movies, music, notes, recipes, videos, websites, playlists, and much, much more. You can save content by voice command or by clicking on the icon on the home screen. The information you need will be added to the saved content – screenshots, URL, location, and so on.

Google is currently testing Assistant Memory among its employees. It is not yet clear when the new service will be presented to ordinary users.
