The so-called “frozen” tabs, or tabs that you left open in a previous browser session, will now be saved in a special lite version that takes up the same space as the screenshot and still supports scrolling, zooming and clicking on links … Google explains that this will give users a sense of complete interactivity while the web page is actually loading in the background.

It also claims to reduce RAM usage (up to 22%) and improve browser response times by up to 9%.

A separate mention is made of the 64-bit version of Google Chrome for Android, which is available on devices running Android 10 with 8GB of RAM or more. This app also offers faster loading times, smoother scrolling and reduced latency.
