Google Chrome will get a new level of security for saved passwords

Google Chrome should get some new features soon. And the most interesting thing is that these innovations have already been implemented in another browser – Microsoft Edge. The first feature is related to web page search, and the second is related to security improvements.

Some Microsoft Edge users may not be aware that their browser offers the ability to sign in to sites with a device password. This adds an extra layer of security when the login details are automatically filled in by the browser.

In fact, this feature allows you to use the computer credentials as a kind of master password for saved passwords. It is not enabled by default, so you need to activate it yourself in the Edge settings. A similar feature has already appeared in Chrome Canary, the user with the nickname @Leopeva64 showed how it works:

Chrome developers improved the implementation of Edge a bit – a Windows dialog box shows which site the user is granting access to for autocompletion. This feature is also not enabled by default, it is activated in the settings.

Another upcoming feature in Chrome is the sidebar search feature, which will allow you to highlight any text on a web page and search the web for more information without opening a new tab. Search results are displayed in a bar next to the active web page.
