Google Is Finally Expanding Its Stadia Coverage To Eight More European Countries Now

During this pandemic and the lockdowns that followed, surveys suggest that people who were not into online gaming before also turned towards it for the sake of entertainment. Now, the rule of thumb is that where there is demand, there has to be an efficient supply. The gaming industry has grown rapidly over all these past years, but the recent turn of events has increased the users’ demand for newer gaming solutions, and the gaming companies have to be really efficient to come up with new and better games.

Google Stadia: The Perfect Gaming Option?

Stadia is a cloud gaming and streaming service that has been developed by Google. It can stream online video games up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, supporting HDR. Previously, it was available in 14 countries, but seeing the increased demand and popularity, Google is now bringing Stadia to 8 more European countries including Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.

A user only needs a Gmail id and Wi-Fi connection to sign up for playing games without any trouble. Games like Destiny 2 and Super Bomberman R Online can be played through Stadia across various devices like television, Android smartphones, and other Android devices, or laptops and desktops. Google also plans to launch an iOS version of Stadia through Safari soon.

All the new members get a free month for Stadia Pro services which include a great variety of games. However, after a month passes, the users will have to pay a subscription fee which is around €9.99 per month in these European countries.

Buckling Up for Cyberpunk 2077

Users can also choose to buy games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Marvel’s Avengers, etc. On 10th December, Google is launching one of the biggest games, Cyberpunk 2077 by the CD Projekt Red. It will be launched across all the gaming consoles, PC, and Stadia together. There is a small promotion going on these days before the launch of the game. Users who pre-order the Cyberpunk 2077 game or buy it within the first week of its launch will get a free Stadia Premiere Edition. The kit will include a Google Chromecast Ultra that can be used to allow the users to play games on their Televisions, and a Stadia Controller.

Tough Market, Tougher Competition.

The competition is quite resilient for Stadia, as Microsoft’s xCloud service is also available in all these countries where Stadia has recently been launched. Nvidia’s GeForce Now is also accessible in Europe.

Microsoft and Sony will be releasing their next-gen consoles. Stadia will have to prove itself as a perfect alternative to the PlayStation and Xbox if Google wants it to continue flourishing in this game-streaming industry.

You do not need any special hardware for Stadia.

You just need the necessary screens and controllers. You can play games through a sturdy internet connection. You can even pause your game on one screen and continue playing on the other because it is all cloud-based.
