There have been several changes made to the Google Store in recent times, one of which has brought joy with further disappointment to many users. They thought they were given $500, but they can’t use it.
The Google Store has received a redesigned account menu when you click on your profile avatar in the top right corner of the page. Menu items (Orders, Preferred Assistance, Subscriptions, My Nest Home, and Settings) have received new icons.

The top right corner shows the total “Google Store Balance”. If there is at least some amount in your wallet in the Google Store, then there will be 500 supposedly dollars on your balance. As the editor of 9to5google writes, he had just over $2 of his own. This amount is displayed correctly in the last step of the checkout process.
The same $500 bug was reproduced with three other accounts. Google has not commented on the situation.
