Google on the Board of SEV – The general assembly of the Association on Wednesday

The entry of a representative of Google in the Board of Directors of BSE (as well as the companies Coca-Cola and ELVIAL) is one of the changes that are expected to be decided at the next general meeting of the Association that will take place on Wednesday 15 June. This is a development that symbolizes the direction of the Association for greater participation of women and representation of the widest possible range of companies from across the country and industries.

In this context, according to the information from the Association, Peggy Antonakou of Google SE Europe, Nagia Kalogeraki of Coca-Cola HBC AG (CCHBC) and Mrs. Asimina Tzika, of the ELVIAL aluminum industry, are joining the Board of SEV as new members. while Ioulia Tseti of UNIPHARMA, who is already a member of the Board, is expected to assume the duties of General Secretary.

The participation of women in the general council of SEV is strengthened, with 14 appearances in total: it is Ioanna Papadopoulou of EI PAPADOPOULOU SA (who will also be the president of the general assembly), Sophie Daskalaki-Mytilineou of MYTILINEOS, Konstantina Kotsiopoulou of ION SA, Marianna Politopoulou of insurance NN Greece, Konstantina Ouzounopoulou of MILLS OF THRACE, Sofia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou of “Hellenic World”, Maria Paschalidou of Grantex, Christina Lezimoni A of PITTA Beekeeping, Ekaterini Michailidou of EVIE, Angeliki Oikonomou of NIKAS, Maria – Anargyrou Nikolic of COCA-COLA THREE EPSILON GREECE SA Zina Mavroidi of E-FRESH, Theodora – Ioanna Economopoulou of MARSH Insurance Brokers. The general council will also include representatives from 7 technology companies / start-ups, as well as 15 business representatives from the Region.

In the elections, the term of office of both Dimitris Papalexopoulos as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Efthymios O. Vidalis, as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Association is expected to be renewed. As Mr. Papalexopoulos points out: for Greece, the next 5 years offer a unique opportunity to transform our economy, embracing green growth, combined with the digital revolution. Our country has comparative advantages in many sub-sectors, the European framework supports, resources are offered. The aim is to accelerate the necessary reforms, but at the same time to ensure the competitiveness of European production and the availability of sufficient energy at a competitive cost for all. The main message of this year’s General Assembly is “Together we open roads”.

The leader of the Official Opposition, Alexis Tsipras, will speak to the members of SEV on Thursday afternoon. The afternoon open event will be honored by the presence of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou. The event will include speeches by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the new president of SEV, while a discussion will follow between them about the great challenges of the time.
