Google Photos has a really convenient innovation: users can add photos and videos without connecting to the web

Google Photos, which is one of the most popular services for storing and editing photos, has received a handy innovation. Users can now add content and distribute it to folders, even when the device is not connected to the network.

For years since its launch, Google Photos has required users to have an active Internet connection in order to upload photos or videos to the cloud. Now things have changed.

Android Police have verified that Google Photos now allows content to be added even if the mobile device is completely disconnected from the Internet and has not been backed up. So far, the innovation has been implemented on Android.

The Google Pixel 5 was chosen as the test smartphone, with the Google Photos app 5.37 installed. You can also add photos to an existing album instead of creating a new one if your device is displaying an album. Everything syncs when your device reconnects.

This Google Photos feature comes in handy in situations where there is no Wi-Fi or mobile network coverage around. In our realities, a similar situation is still encountered quite often.
