Google releases Fuchsia operating system: which device will get it first


Back in August 2016, it became known that the Internet giant Google was working on a mysterious operating system called Fuchsia. And now, five years later, Google is ready to officially unveil its new software platform.

According to the 9to5Google portal, Google has officially announced the release of the new Fuchsia operating system. Owners of the first generation of smart displays Google Nest Hub, released in 2018, can be the first to appreciate the capabilities of the OS developed from the ground up. Fuchsia will replace the Linux-based Cast OS, which now powers Nest Hub smart displays. At the same time, Google assures that the functionality of the gadgets will remain the same.
