Google showed first-glass glasses fed by Android XR, the extended reality version of the technology company’s software. The news was released during Google I/O, Bigtech’s annual program of programmers on Tuesday (20) in San Francisco, California.
The first glasses was the result of a partnership with the Chinese Xreal and should be followed by collaborations with other technology companies, such as Samsung, and the optic field, such as Kering, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Products will hit the market after other bigtechs, such as Apple and goal, have announced their extended reality glasses.
Equipped with camera, microphones and speakers, these glasses work in conjunction with your mobile phone, allowing you to access your applications without having to put your hand in your pocket. And an optional lens display provides useful information privately, just when you need it. Combining these glasses with the Gemini means that they see and hear what you do so that you understand your context, remember what is important to you and can help you throughout the day, ”says Google on your site.
Android XR glasses will be able to send messages to friends, mark appointments, request step -by -step directions, take pictures and simultaneously translate between two people.
Google’s differential is to go against Apple, which created glasses with a futuristic look, and add Android XR in conventional designs that can be used on the street. Technology is already applied to headsets from partner companies such as Samsung and Qualcomm.
