Google stops supporting the Street View app: it will be removed from stores soon

Google’s Street View app is an extremely easy way to get a 360-degree view of virtually any street on planet Earth. This is a very useful tool if a person wants to study the location for parking, restaurant entrance or general architecture before a trip. Or, of course, if a person wants to travel the world and explore interesting locations, then he does not even need to leave his room – the application allows you to do this even from the couch. But, apparently, in the near future, users will have to say goodbye to a separate Street View application, as Google has decided to end work on this software.

However, I would like to immediately reassure those who actively used the service or played browser games based on it – Google simply refuses a separate Street View application, but the service functions themselves will remain in Google Maps. Accordingly, those users who explored cities using Street View and those who published their personal content to improve this service will still be able to use the street view function, only not from the native application, but from the more popular Google Maps solution. Yes, it sounds rather strange, especially since it cost nothing for Google to support Street View further.

Google has officially announced that they will close the Street View application on March 31, 2023, so you can safely use your favorite software for another six months. Then, when the service is closed, users will have to switch to Google Maps or Street View Studio (the web version of the application) to create content.
