Between May 11 and 12, the annual Google I / O conference will be held, at which Android 13 will be presented (the system has been available in developer testing mode for several months). In anticipation of this, the official Android and Material Theme Twitter accounts conducted polls about which options users want to see the most. Apparently, these votes are nothing more than thick hints of upcoming innovations, and the presentation will have all the options that are in the answer options.
In their accounts, Google did not specify what specific innovations would be, but named their subject matter. However, guessing is not very difficult.
- Security updates. Most likely, we are talking about a standard increase in the level of system protection – this is announced every year.
- Post updates. Most likely, Google will promote the RCS protocol, created to replace the outdated SMS technology – the company has been advocating for the widespread implementation of this standard for several years.
- Cross platform update. It may be about closer integration of user devices with each other – at the end of April, in the beta version of Google Play services, they found the Self Share function, which allows you to quickly send files between your devices via Nearby Share.
- New partnerships. This innovation is difficult to guess, but most likely it will not be of interest to users outside the United States.

The Material Design account (the so-called Android visual style) has started another poll regarding design.
- Variable fonts. In May, Google introduced the Roboto Flex font to replace the regular Roboto used since Android 4.0 – the new font can be changed in 12 typographic parameters (thickness, height, padding, slant, etc.).
- Design and availability. Most likely, we are talking about a slightly changed visual style of Material You and its updated responsive theme – unlike Android 12, it will have 4 shades of the palette to choose from.
- Chatting with the development team. Apparently, there will be some form of feedback from the developers.
