Google Trends notes a global increase in user interest in Web3

At the same time, the number of requests for bitcoin, according to the Google analytical resource, has reached a record low this year.

Searches for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized finance (DeFi), the metaverse, and other elements of Web3 have gained momentum and recorded an all-time high peak in 2022. According to Google Trends, global interest for Web3 is 72 points, while for Bitcoin it is 27 points, more than a threefold difference.

China ranks first in Web3 search (100 points), Singapore (22 points). Nigeria (20 points). It is followed by Hong Kong (18 points) and Cyprus (11 points).

Interest in bitcoin will continue in a number of countries. It is highest in El Salvador (100 points), Nigeria (50 points), the Netherlands (33 points), Austria (30 points), Switzerland (30 points). Russia in Google Trends scored 3 points for Web3 and 23 points for Bitcoin.

Recently, the Indian National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) reported that Web3 revenues grew 37 times in two years. According to her, Web3 will add $1.1 trillion to India’s GDP. A little earlier, Samsung Next Managing Director Raymond Liao said he sees great potential in the Web3 industry, so the company will focus on investing in blockchain, artificial intelligence and metaverses.
