Google announced that it will expand its support for third-party apps, including apps for charging electric vehicles, navigation, and more.

Support for messaging apps has also been enhanced. A universal “application” is now offered for almost all messengers on your phone. As a result, users get access on the Android Auto home screen to all messengers such as Google Messages, WhatsApp, Google Voice, as well as send and listen to messages using the voice assistant Google Assistant. The latter became available to users around the world.

There are also new customization options. You can customize the home screen directly from your smartphone and manually set the dark mode.
