Google is preparing a new convenient feature for smartphones with the Android operating system.

The Google Assistant voice assistant (Google Assistant) in the new Android 12 gained the ability to start by long pressing the power button, which usually opens the Android power menu. However, this turned out to be not the only change.
As the enthusiasts noticed, parsing the code in the new beta version of the Google Search application, the assistant got a new built-in way of using it.
The app code confirms that Android smartphones may soon start using two different shutdown methods. First, it will be possible to press the power button and the volume up button at the same time to access the power menu.

Secondly, users will be able to turn off gadgets with a voice command. For example, say Turn Off »Google Assistant to turn off your smartphone or tablet. Currently, having received such a command on Android, Google Assistant will either inform the user that the power controls are unavailable or tell you how to properly turn off the phone.
Unfortunately, with the first public beta of Android 12 Beta 1, the features are not yet triggered, although screenshots have already appeared. It is not yet clear if the new functionality will be exclusive to Android 12 or only to the branded line of Google Pixel smartphones.
