The Civil Police of Bahia arrested two more suspects involved in the death of gospel singer Sara Mariano, whose body was located at the end of October on a road in the metropolitan region of Salvador at the end of October.
The arrests were made between Tuesday night (14) and Wednesday morning (15) on the island of Itaparica and in Camaçari, also in the metropolitan region of Salvador.

According to delegate Euvaldo Costa, head of the 25th Territorial Police Station, the prisoners are a religious leader and an app driver. “According to the investigations, the alleged religious leader and the app driver are suspected of participating in the logistics and execution, as well as in the act of setting the body on fire and in the attempt to omit evidence”, he explains.
The delegate adds that, according to investigations, “the victim’s ex-husband gave money to the perpetrators and artistic promotions to the alleged religious leader”.
The singer’s husband, Ederlan Santos Mariano, was arrested on October 28, one day after the woman’s body was found. He confessed to having participated in the crime.

Sara Mariano was 38 years old and active on social media. On her Instagram account, which has just over 100 thousand followers, she frequently posted photos and videos of evangelical services that included her participation.
Alongside her husband, she managed TV Shalom, a YouTube channel that posts evangelical content and has 260 thousand subscribers.
Sara leaves behind an 11-year-old daughter.
