In the trailer that anticipates the titles that we will see on the cable channel platform starting next year, the “updated” and modernized version of the series dominates, with a completely renewed cast that gathers on the famous steps on which the protagonists stopped in New York City. Around the development of the plot there is the utmost confidentiality, even if we know that the reboot will be set eight years after the conclusion of the Gossip Girl original, with new Manhattan students leading the way along with the watchful eye of Gossip Girl, while trying to show how much social media and New York itself have changed in recent years.
Among the new faces that we will find in the cast are Emily Alyn Lind (The Babysitter), Whitney Peak (The terrifying adventures of Sabrina), Eli Brown (Pretty Little Liars) Johnathan Fernandez (Younger ), Jason Gotay (Love Life), Tavi Gevinson (Scream Queens), Thomas Doherty (High fedelity) Adam Chanler-Weight (The Good Wife), Zión Moreno (Control Z), Savannah Smith and Laura Benanti (Supergirl), leaving us the doubt about a possible return of Kristen Bell as the narrator of the series.
