The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, appointed Alexandre Reis Siqueira Freire to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). He will have a mandate until November 4, 2027 and will fill the vacancy resulting from the end of the mandate of Emmanoel Campelo de Souza Pereira.
Bolsonaro also appointed Wilson Pereira de Lima Filho as director of the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq).
Wilson Filho’s term in office runs until February 18, 2027. He takes over from Adalberto Tokarski, whose term has ended.
Nominations are published on the Federal Official Gazette (DOU) in an extra edition circulating this Wednesday (30).
The new directors had their nominations approved by the Federal Senate last week. Alexandre Freire, from Anatel, is a lawyer, PhD in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and Master in Law from the Federal University of Paraná.
Wilson Pereira de Lima Filho, from Antaq, holds a PhD in Naval Sciences, is a vice-admiral and has been in the Brazilian Navy for 45 years.
