With self-confidence up to date, the leader of the government in the Chamber, Ricardo Barros (PP-PR), told the CNN who will be able to approve the text of the PEC of Precatório in the first and second rounds in the session this Wednesday (3).
There was already the so-called break in the gap, in which the waiting period between one shift and another is skipped, precisely to conclude the vote in the same session. The debate phase was also sold out last week. When government and opposition deputies go to the plenary today, in practice, it is really to vote. “There is no doubt that we will have a quorum and we will approve the PEC,” stated Barros.
The prospect is that the vote will last through the night. Earlier this afternoon, leaders will be with the president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), including those from the opposition. “We are in several meetings. I find it very difficult to vote on the text today. There’s no weather, coming back from a holiday. Points of the text are still being discussed”, said the PT leader, Bohn Gass, to CNN.
In Brasília, the maxim is not to do a tight count with a low quorum. On normal days, a proposal like this would be put to a vote with a safety margin of 500 deputies in the plenary. The ideal scenario for the vote, however, came up against the holiday and demanded more articulation from the government.
“I’m still at the airport because my flight was cancelled,” said deputy Ênio Verri, who is coming from Paraná. “I’ve arrived. I stopped by the Chamber, checked in and now I’m checking in at the hotel. I’ll wait for the session to be scheduled and I’ll run there quickly”, the government deputy Capitão Augusto said enthusiastically to CNN.
The important thing is to register presence to add quorum. At the time of voting, it is not mandatory to be in plenary, you can vote through the Chamber application on your cell phone, if you want.
