Government makes task force for deputies to vote PEC of Precatório

The federal government has made, in recent days, a task force for federal deputies to attend the vote of the PEC of Precatório this Wednesday (3). According to the opinion of the policy analyst of the CNN Gustavo Uribe, leaders informed that there was an indication of release of amendments and positions to convince the voter attendance.

Also according to Uribe, the text still has points that deputies do not like, for example, in relation to teachers: both the opposition and members of the allied base do not want to vote on the proposal without a predictable payment of nearly R$ 16 billion, which they were from the former Fund for the Maintenance and Development of Elementary Education and the Valorization of Teaching (FUNDEF), for state teachers in states such as Bahia, Ceará and Pernambuco.

Parties like the PSDB and the MDB also complain about the change in the spending ceiling provided for in the text.

required quorum

Palácio do Planalto believes it will have a quorum for the vote, placing around 400 to 500 federal deputies in the plenary.

The top of the Chamber of Deputies, however, does not seem so optimistic. Also according to information from the policy analyst at CNN Gustavo Uribe, many lawmakers even got in touch with the president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), asking that the vote not take place this Wednesday, because they are already working in their electoral bases for the 2022 elections, and many intend to continue until next week.

Tomorrow, Lira will have a meeting with party leaders precisely to discuss the latest changes in the text of the proposal, despite the lack of optimism regarding the necessary quorum. If there really isn’t, there is a possibility that the vote will be rescheduled for Thursday (4) or, more likely, for next week.
