The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) announced the opening of a public consultation for the concession of 2,565 kilometers of highways between Rondônia, Mato Grosso and Goiás.
Organized in four lots, it foresees investments of R$ 13.6 billion over the 30 years of the concession. The Ministry of Infrastructure expects the auction notice to be published in the third quarter of 2022.
When granted, the stretches, which are an important way of transporting agribusiness production, will form a logistical corridor from Porto Velho (RO) to the port of Santos (SP), according to information published by BNDES on its website on Monday ( 27).
The project involves 20 km of additional lane on a double lane near Goiânia, duplication of 140 km between Vilhena and Porto Velho (RO), 824 km of third lanes on a single lane, in addition to 10 stopping points for truck drivers and marginal lanes of the main urban crossings. The construction of the Goiânia bypass, connecting the BR-050 to the BR-153 highway, and the Porto Velho bypass are also planned.
