The government intends to approve, in the coming days, extraordinary credits so that the Ministry of Infrastructure has more resources for the recovery of roads and areas affected by floods. The information is from the policy analyst at CNN Renata Agostini.
The total amount is yet to be defined, but it should be greater than that approved in the last provisional measure for this purpose, which came out in December and released R$ 200 million. The previous budget had R$ 80 million earmarked for the recovery of highways in Bahia.
This time, the most affected places are Minas Gerais, some points in São Paulo and Maranhão. In the latter state, the arrival of heavy rains is a cause for concern, as the road network is already in a precarious state.
The last details for the approval of the budget are being defined between the Economy, Infrastructure and the Planalto Palace, but, according to Renata Agostini, there is already a consensus on releasing more money.
