The federal government presented a new salary adjustment proposal to public servants of the Executive Branch this Friday (10) and may finalize the negotiation at the beginning of next week.
Under the terms proposed by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services to civil servants’ representatives in a meeting this Friday, the readjustment would be 9% as of May this year, in addition to an increase of R$ 200 in food allowance, which currently is BRL 458.
At the beginning of next week, the federal government should formalize these terms and only then will public servants make the decision.
The proposal was well received by the representatives of the civil servants, according to the CNN .
The president of Fonacate (Permanent National Forum of Typical State Careers), Rudinei Marques, said, at the end of the meeting, that the servants’ representatives did “the possible” to obtain the highest percentage of readjustment. we extend the rope to the limit. Now the decision rests with our bases”, he declared.
At this Friday’s meeting, the government made a first counterproposal that was promptly rejected by public servants. Ministry representatives offered an 8.4% readjustment, considered low and unacceptable. After server representatives took a stand against the increase, the percentage was increased to the 9% offered.
At the beginning of the negotiations, the government offered a linear increase of 7.8% to all employees of the federal Executive. The civil servants’ counter-proposal was 13.5%, a percentage that the government warned it would not be able to meet.
In addition to this salary increase, the government’s proposal also includes a 46.6% increase in food stamps, equivalent to R$200. The amount refers to the accumulated variation of the IPCA from February 2016 to February 2023. approved, the benefit would increase from R$ 458 to R$ 658.
