After criticism of the measure announced by the Federal Revenue, the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad (PT), informed this Tuesday (18) that the federal government has gone back and will maintain the tax exemption on orders of up to US$ 50 between physical persons. The request was made by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
The change in the tax exemption was announced last week, during Lula’s trip to China. The rule, in force since the 1990s, applies to shipments between individuals.
