The governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite (PSDB), tested positive for Covid-19 this Tuesday (11). The diagnosis was shared by the governor on his social networks.
“I have just received the test result: positive for Covid-19. I am already isolated and will remain so for the next few days, following all medical recommendations. I’m fine, no symptoms and I’ll keep working hard for RS through virtual! Thank you all for the messages!” he wrote.
Hours earlier, Leite had reported that her boyfriend, Thalis, tested positive for Covid-19. Since then, the governor has adopted isolation and remote work.
He would receive the booster dose against Covid-19 this week, but due to the infection, he will have to wait four weeks.
