Grants totaling 1,400,000 euros are announced by the Ministry of Culture and Sports following an invitation through the Register of Cultural Bodies of the Ministry of Culture, on January 31, 2022, for the grant and/or sponsorship of Professional Theater Schemes for the purpose of implementing Theatrical Productions, Festivals, Tours and Theater Events. A total of 204 proposals were submitted by organizations active in the field of theater as part of the call for expressions of interest of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Theater Advisory Committee consisting of:
1. Dr. Anna Stavrakopoulou (Associate Professor of Theatrology, Department of Theatre, AUTH),
2. Dr. Amalia Kontogiannis (Dr. of Theatrology / Head of the Department of Artistic Work and Drama at the KTHBE),
3. Nikos Orfanos (Actor, Director, Artistic Director DIPETHE Roumelis),
4. Gavriella – Penelope Triantaphylli (Programming and Production Director, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center),
5. Elena Pega (Writer, director),
6. Toni Lykouresi (Director),
7. Sofia Pantouvaki (Associate Professor of Costume Design, Aalto University and Set Designer),
8. Mario Kostakis, Head of the General Directorate of Contemporary Culture of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
gave a positive opinion in favor of granting grants and granting patronage on a case-by-case basis to 90 organizations.
